Area Activities
 The Tucannon area offers
great fishing for trout and steelhead with miles of public access beginning 1.25 miles above the Park. There are 8 stocked lakes located on the nearby Wooten Game Range as well as the Tucannon River.
Hunting is excellent on the Tucannon with many varied seasons for Turkey, Deer, Elk, Bear, Cougar and numerous game birds. Hunting and fishing licenses and tags are available at The Last Resort.
Hiking, nature and wildlife photography, mushrooming, berry picking and bird watching are just a few of the area attractions. The nearby towns of
Dayton and
Pomeroy offer small town shopping for arts, crafts and antiques. Dayton Days (Memorial Weekend) offers a large hometown parade, rodeo, pari-mutual horse racing, combine contests, mud racing, etc... along with big name entertainment. Both Pomeroy and
Dayton have uncrowded, lovely 9 hole golf courses. Dayton also offers a four star restaurant, the Patit Creek Restaurant.
Winter activities in the area include great skiing at
Bluewood Ski Resort, cross country skiing and
snowmobiling in the Blues.
Lewis and Clark Trail markers in the valley mark the route of the Corps of Discovery through the Tucannon Valley.
